How things will (hopefully) work

Where it starts:
A game and charity are decided on in advance. We vote on what we'll be doing each month right here with polls.
Once a venue has been found, I'll set a date and time with them, either a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, and I'll announce it here possibly along with a newsletter.
I'll be going there about an hour early to set everything up for our tournament. Projectors, sound bars, setting up chairs, all that good stuff you don't need to worry about (Unless you want to volunteer to help!)
Finally, Tournament time!
After getting 40 people in the door and everyone gets comfortable I'll do some quick announcements about money raised, the charity we're helping, and the game we'll be playing.
We'll draw lots to determine placement in the brackets. Hopefully I'll find a projector that can display the bracket clearly on the wall so everyone can see whats going on!
Most games will be 1v1 events, fighting or racing games unless other ideas are raised that seem like they'd work.
The games begin! there will be 2 PS4s or Nintendo Switches running at a time, and two matches going at once so that the 78 or so matches don't take 6 hours!
I'll have two cameras set up to record each screen, and I'll post the tournament on Youtube afterwards, linking the videos to this site so we can relive all the memories!
Depending on the venue there may be food and alcohol available, I believe this is the case for the Eagles, but I still have to speak with the manager there.
Eventually the winner will be determined, and this champion will be awarded with a cash prize! Prize amount is TBD, depending on cost of the venue and equipment (Depending on the cost of the venue, 2nd place may also win a prize)
Thats about everything! I aim to be as transparent as possible, so if anything changes I'll post it here.
If you have any ideas, I'd love to hear them in the comments or by email!
